Week 7 - How Quickly They Grow

5/27/09

8:00 p.m. -- These little guys sure know how to grow -- and I don't mean just physically. This week they've been learning how to climb the four steps to get from the back yard to the kitchen. They've mastered that task and are well on their way to mastering how to go down those same steps as well.  Aqua Man is so daring, he looked like he wanted to tackle the inside stairs as well.

Aside from the steps, they've also been learning some potty manners and are getting really good at doing their business outside. There has been a noticeable decrease in the number of poos and pees being cleaned up from my inside floors, and a substantial increase of tiny poos being scooped from the back yard. That's not to say they're perfect... yet... but we're definately making progress. And when they're in a confined area, they make a concerted effort to use the wee wee pads.  I've even seen a decrease in the amount of waste falling through the floor in the play pen. All good signs in my book since it means substantially less time for me cleaning up after them.

I've cut them back from four to three meals per day, which also means I get to sleep through the night and can get to bed at a decent hour!  YEAH!  And today they dined al fresco two of their three meals. I like feeding them outside since it means even less poo in the house.

This evening I set up the miniature A-Frame and they LOVED climbing all over it. Pink was the first to actually make it all the way over! Tomorrow I'll stop at the hardware store to see if I can find something they can use as a tunnel. They're all so adventurous -- what a great bunch of smart little puppiesdd your content here
