Week 6 - We're in the home stretch now!

5/18/09

9:30 p.m. -- I can't believe I let a whole week get by without any updates at all!  Shame on ME!

All I can say in my defense is that these guys are running me ragged! I thought I had it tough when they were being bottle fed. Ha!  That's nothing compared to the demands they're making now.  I don't have a scale in the house, but I have definately lost weight running after these guys and cleaning up after them.

But I've been busy doing other things as well. I've moved them out of the whelping box and into their play pen.  We're all very happy with that move!! They've been spending so much time running around and playing and getting big and demanding so much attention. Their personalities continue to amaze me and I just can't believe how confident, outgoing, and easy to work with all nine of these puppies are.  And SMART!  Did I mention how smart they all are?  Aqua Man was the first to conquer the doggie door, followed the next day by Purple Girl. I've screened in the front porch and they've gotten their first taste of fresh air. Aqua Man promptly took a bite out of my mint plant, and this afternoon he smelled suspiciously of rosemary.

They have grown so much in the last two weeks, and they're so mobile. I wish I had a video camera to catch all the action.  Alas, I don't, so I promise to spend all evening if I have to tomorrow to get some updated photos. I'm totally biased, but doG these are some adorable puppies and I just love every single one of them.
